AM law firm provided legal opinion on the Armenian labor legislation to the Peace Corps

The Peace Corps, a highly-esteemed US agency, continues its cooperation with AM law firm. This time our lawyers provided legal opinion on the Armenian labor legislation. Particularly, AM law firm reported to the Peace Corps about the nature of employment contract under the local law, and the rights and obligations of both the employee and the employer in case of changes to the contract terms.

The Peace Corps is a US government agency founded by President John F. Kennedy in 1961 and since that time over 225,000 Volunteers have served in more than 140 countries. Peace Corps in Armenia was established in 1992, and is celebrating 26 years of service with current projects in English education and community youth development.

During their service in Armenia, volunteers learn to speak Armenian, live with local families, and work closely with Armenian counterparts.For the past 26 years, the Peace Corps has promoted peace and friendship in Armenia, while also contributing to the education, youth, environment, NGO and economic development
